The Magical Beauty of Physalis

Autumn brings a cozy feel with its warm colors, falling leaves, and cooler weather. At Warung Pas, we’re embracing this season with inspiration from the beautiful Physalis, also called the Lantern Plant.

This plant, often found at florists in October, stands out with its bright orange lantern-like pods. As other flowers fade, these lanterns glow in the garden. Over time, they turn into delicate, see-through shells, showing a shiny orange berry inside. Birds love these berries, helping the plant spread its seeds.

At Warung Pas, we’ve turned these stunning plants into soft glowing lights. With flickering LED bulbs inside, they give off a warm, cozy glow, making them a perfect match for our Javanese dishes and adding a comforting autumn vibe.

You can buy one lamp for 25 euro in the restaurant.
